Concentrating on American art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, the Rockford Art Museum accents its permanent collection of over 1,500 pieces with rotating temporary exhibitions. Areas of particular interest within the collection include works by regional artists, photography, art from the Southeast region of the country and studio art glass pieces. Located in Rockford's River District in the Museum Park campus, the museum is close to the Burpee Museum of Natural History and shares space with the Discovery Center Museum.
